Yeti- Himalayan Food in Glen Ellen

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of visiting the Yeti restaurant in Glen Ellen with my family. This restaurant serves traditional style Indian cuisine and has been one of my favorite places to dine in Sonoma County for many years.

The Yeti Restaurant in Glen Ellen

Arrival: When we first walked into the restaurant, we were immediately seated at a table on their patio. It was a beautiful day so it was very pleasant to sit on the patio. After a few minutes, we received the menu. Now, if you have not been to The Yeti before, the menu can be a little bit overwhelming because its a six page book with many different traditional Indian dishes as well as drinks listed on it. However, Since our group has dined at this restaurant many times before, we instantly knew what we wanted to order and only glanced at the menu. But if you have never been there before, I highly recommend looking at the menu because there are many interesting traditional dishes on there.

The Food: Since we were a party of nine, we were able to order a variety of different dishes and share. One of my favorite things to get there is their garlic naan because it is always cooked fresh right when you order it. I also really enjoy their Saag Panner because it has a ton of fresh spinach mixed with cheese. My favorite drink to get at The Yeti is a Mango Lassi because it is always refreshing. I also enjoy getting a Mango lassi because it is able to cool your mouth down from the spicy Indian food. Although I have not tried all of The Yeti’s dishes on their menu, I have tried most of them and all of them have been excellent. Here are some pictures of a few dishes we ordered when we were there:

Overall: Overall, I highly recommend eating at the Yeti if you are in the Glen Ellen area. Their Indian food is very traditional and has amazing flavor. However, If you are not near the Glen Ellen area, I do not think that it is worth the drive as there are many other amazing Indian restaurants out there. But, if you are in the area, I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Great job and many thanks to the team at The Yeti!
