A couple weekends ago while I was on a bike ride, I had the pleasure of visiting El Brinquito Market. This market is located on the side of the road on highway 12 in boys hot springs and every weekend, they grill chicken outside. I have driven by the market many times and have always wanted to try their chicken, but I never have. I finally got to try their chicken last Saturday.
The Experience: when we first pulled up to the market on Saturday, we immediately walked over to the 2 grills where they were grilling chickens. The two grills are located on the left side of the market, kind of near the parking lot. The first thing I noticed about the grills was that they had 2 of them with open racks and charcoal below. The racks were all filled with chickens, each are different stages in their cooking process. After looking at the grills, We proceeded to look around for a little while until the chef came over to talk to us. At first, my Grandpa tried to ask him what type of seasoning they use on their chickens because he loves to grill. Unfortunately, the chef would not tell us because he said it was a secret. But, the chef did offer us some samples of the chicken. We replied by saying we were a little sad that he couldn’t give us the recipe but accepted the samples. Upon hearing us say yes, The chef proceeded to pull a chicken off the grill and cut it for us. He then handed us three pieces of chicken and we started to eat.

The Chicken: upon receiving the chicken, we each took one piece and started eating immediately. Upon eating my first bite, I instantly knew that this was some legit chicken. This chicken was moist, and full of flavor. Usually, when you do chicken on the grill, it dries out but this chicken did not. Although I do not know what the seasoning was, it was amazing. I believe the seasoning was some kind of pepper mixed with other spices but cannot say for sure. It was a small piece of chicken so I ate it in about one minute. Overall, although this was only a sample, I got the full experience and was craving more as soon as I finished.

Overall:
Overall, I highly recommend going to El Brinquito Market for their chickens. Their chickens are full of flavor and are very juicy. Even though I just had a sample, I recommended buying a whole chicken because you are going to be craving more after your first bite. I definitely wish I would have bought a full chicken! Thanks so much to the team at El Brinquito Market for cooking some great chicken!
